Her story...

Toffee is Eunice's younger sister. Like her sister, she is a needy child that came to us from a remote village in the Iganga District. Her father is retired and a drunkard who does not take care of her welfare or education. Her mother doesn’t work so they have no means to support their six children. The children were ignored and neglected when they was young. Stephen heard of the situation and took the children into the El-Shadai home. Her parents agreed to allow her older siblings Eunice, Rogers and Tabitha to go to the home. It was only later that Toffee was allowed to join them.

Interests and Hobbies...

She enjoys playing with the other children, reading and singing in the choir.

Future plans...

For the time being Toffee wants to become a teacher when she grows up.

Notes:

Toffee is a reserved girl but shows affection to her siblings and volunteers at the home. She has been sick from various illnesses and it has affected her schooling. She has been at the home only since 2006 and shows a lot of potential to improve academically and socially.

Child Financial Needs:

The Ugandan government does not offer free education at any level. Before coming to the home, many of the children had been forced to drop out of school because they were unable to pay the fees. El-Shadai Family Foster Home believes that all children should have an education and a safe, loving environment where all of their basic needs are met.

Current Sponsorship Status:

Toffee is currently fully sponsored by Sandra Simile.
